Joint Pain

There's more to chiropractic care than adjusting your back and neck. Every joint can get out of alignment from your fingers to your toes.

When most people think of chiropractic care, they think of back and neck adjustments. Although the majority of our treatments do require realigning the spine, our treatment can correct problems with any joint.

Shoulders
A dislocated shoulder needs treatment as soon as possible. The injury is often compounded with nerve damage and restricted blood supply to the area. We can quickly and carefully reset the shoulder so the tissue, nerves and blood vessels have a better chance of healing correctly.
Elbows
Tennis elbow is a common complaint that causes a sharp pain in the arm when you extend the elbow, or grab or lift items. The pain comes from an inflamed tendon that helps to extend your elbow. We can help reduce the inflammation, adjust the neck, which can be a contributing factor, and through physical therapy strengthen the tendons in the arm.
Wrists
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a repetitive strain disorder that affects the forearms and wrists. We can treat the soft tissues and bony joints in the wrist and spine and apply ultrasound to the wrist.
Fingers
As with a dislocated shoulder, a jammed or dislocated finger is excruciatingly painful. If the proper treatment is not given the pain can flare up months or years down the road.
Hips
Hip pain is usually the result of inflammation, bursitis, osteoarthritis or trauma. As we age the cartilage wears down. We can provide preventive care to limit the wear to your hips, and help the blood flow properly through the tissue. We can also provide relief at the onset of these conditions so they do not worsen as quickly.
Knees
If your knee feels out of place or is giving you sharp pain, it can be a signal that the joints in your knee are out of alignment. Gentle realignment is all that is needed to set your knee to its natural working order.
Ankles
It is important to treat ankle sprains right away, otherwise arthritis and loss of mobility may set in prematurely. We can treat ankle injuries with a combination of adjustment, physical therapy, and/or foot support or orthodics
Toes
Bunions are often caused by improper shoes. We can help treat your pain and get you into the right shoes so your feet look and feel good. Gout is caused by a build up of uric acid in the joints, forming crystals and results in excruciating pain. We can treat this condition through a proper meal plan and nutrition guidance.
